TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in March 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently in the works. That would round things out when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform your decision.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that works depends on you.
